You Might Not Realise It… But What You’re Doing Is Amazing

Over the weekend, I completed a triathlon. It wasn’t my first, and to me and the small group I train with regularly, it was just another day of doing what we do. It’s part of our normal.

But here’s the thing: as I looked around, I saw people cheering, clapping, and watching in awe. To them — to 99% of people — what I was doing looked amazing. It was amazing. But because I live in that 1% bubble of people who do this kind of thing regularly, I don’t always see it that way.

And it got me thinking…

Your “Normal” Is Someone Else’s “Wow”

Maybe you go to the gym twice a week. Maybe you’ve been coming consistently for a few months or you’ve just hit a milestone. Maybe you’re finally getting some energy back, or you’re sleeping better. To you, it might feel like no big deal. You’re just “showing up.”

But to someone else? That’s inspiring.

To someone who hasn’t started yet, who is stuck in the rut of low energy, low confidence, poor health, or stress, you are their “Wow.” You are doing what they’re still trying to work up the courage to begin.

And that’s powerful.

Your 1% Bubble

  • “I’m not fit enough to start.”

But let me ask you this:
Are you proud of how you feel right now?
Are you happy with where your health is heading?
Do you feel energised, confident, strong in your body, and in control of your day-to-day?

If the answer is no, then something needs to change. And you are the only one who can make that change.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need to be fit to start. You get fit by starting.
You don’t need confidence first. You build it, one session at a time.
You don’t need the perfect time. You just need to stop waiting for it.

From Watching to Doing

You might be someone who inspires people every day in your job, your family, or your community. But now it’s your turn to be inspired — by yourself. It’s your turn to start doing the thing you’ve been thinking about.

And one day, you will be someone’s 1%. And you’ll forget how far you’ve come — until someone tells you how amazing it is.
